The first extension I got was ESLint, I enjoy the amount of rules available with them and ESLint works with plugins and shareable configs, which is helpful when you want to follow a standard style in all your projects. The best part it's all built into it, no need for extensions to do all the above. It's awesome it has, IntelliSense, task runner, and debugger, as well as git.

I've used Sublime Text, Brackets, Atom, and even Webstorm and so far for the month or so I've been using VSCode, I've grown to love it.
